About the Author
Ashley Ball is a naturally talented young horsewoman at the young age of 13. Her love and passion for horses is truly a talent that has blossomed into many wonderful accomplishments for this avid equestrian. She is a member of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association where she has qualified for competition at the National level as a middle school student. This young teenager is also a 4-H member in West Virginia and has been Grand Champion and Reserve Champion the past three years at the West Virginia State Fair.
Additionally, Ashley is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the National Snaffle Bit Association. Ashley competed with her Quarter Horse, Jamaican Me Skip in several all around events in 2010. Her strongest classes are judged on her skills as a rider. She excels in hunt seat equitation, horsemanship and showmanship. Furthermore, Ashley was awarded the Justin Rookie of the Year Award by the American Quarter Horse Association for accumulating the most all around points by any rookie in West Virginia.
She continued her show career by competing at the 2010 All American Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio. As a member of the Northern West Virginia Quarter Horse Association, she accumulated enough points to become a member of the National Youth Activity Team Tournament and she will be representing West Virginia at Congress in the Hunter Under Saddle class and 2011 in Horsemanship.

Best Horse Book ever read!

I purchased this book at A book signing in WV and had Ashley Ball sign the book to my niece Lilly. I gave it to my niece (Lilly) as a gift and according to Lilly this was the best gift she had ever gotten. My niece is learning disabled and is 12. I can't wait till Ashley's next book or next book signing so Lilly can meat Ashley.

My Horse Samson

As soon as I saw the Cover for this book-
I knew I was going to love it.
It is charming and the Horse has a Rags to Riches
Story along the lines of Cinderella-but the Horse
did way more than just being pretty like Cinderella
-it turned into a Champion Jumper.
I think it may be the BEST BOOK I have ever read.
And a 13 year old girl wrote it -Kudos to Ashley Ball.
