Part 3...WOW! A completely unexpected ending, you will NOT see it coming!

If I could I would give this series 10 stars!!
This installment (Rising Heat) of the Claimed ByThe Pack series is hot, Hot, HOT...scorching HOT! WOW does Kimber know how to write a sex scene but that isn't all. This installment has suspense around every corner. Intense scenes (not for trigger issues) surprised me in this installment that was almost hard to read because of how Mal and Neve behave and what happens to Tucker at the end of this installment but it adds to the telling of the story, which is so far an amazing story.
Part 2 had Neve and Tucker running to escape the flames without the rest of the pack in sight and Neve not being able to feel or sense them. Part 3 picks right up where Part 2 left off with Neve and Tucker racing through the forest with the flames hot on their heels and still no sign of the pack. But not for long, as they come into the clearing at the ranger station, Mal, Jake, Reed and Barrett come into view. They reassemble and Tucker directs them to head north to their home in upstate Michigan and off they go away from Hidden Forest and onto Wild Lake...Mal and Reed on foot (or paw), Barrett and Jake in the Jeep because Jake is not fully healed from his injuries and Neve and Tucker on Tucker's Harley.
They ride through the night and reach Wild Lake, the northern part of their territory the next day and Neve is in for a wonderful surprise. They walk over a rise and Neve beholds a farmhouse complete with a white picket fence, a porch swing also barn and…peace. We are then introduced, human brother and sister, Pat and Harold. They take Neve under their wing and into their hearts and into the family. Neve finds a confidante and “Mother” in Pat and a friend and “Father” in Harold and she starts to feel like this is home.
One night Tucker and Neve make love by the lake and Mal watches from the woods. Neve has a reaction to Mal being there and feels his presence in her body and her mate mark burns on her neck, the mark that Tucker gave her when they mated for the first time. This scares Neve and makes her wonder why she would have this reaction to Mal. A few days later, Tucker takes Reed, Barrett and Jake hunting for a day or two and leaves Mal, Neve, Pat and Harold at home. Neve goes down to the barn and meets the horses and is getting to know them when Mal comes into the barn. He gets close to her and they kiss Neve’s body wants to keep going, as before Mal’s presence effects Neve’s body and mate mark which scares her and they keep touching and Mal makes his move to take her and bares his fangs and wants to mark her but he can’t because she belongs to Tucker. Tucker senses, even though he is a great distance away, what Mal is about to do and howls which drives a wedge between Mal and Neve and scares Mal off and Neve knows that Tucker is on his way back because of what Mal has done. Mal runs far away from the pack, so far that Neve can’t sense him anymore.
Tucker returns to take ownership of Neve again and assert himself over her and make sure that Mal is gone. After he knows that Mal is gone, he takes Neve in hand and makes love to her and marks her again to strengthen his ownership of her and mark her again as his and to make sure that she is with him forever.
One day as they are alone, Mal returns and wants to challenge Tucker for Alpha or Neve or both. But suddenly something else happens and then something else happens and oh my goodness…you will NOT believe the ending of this installment! I had to reread the ending to make sure that I actually read it right. It will shock and stun you. It will make you yell…NOOOOOO!!
Kimber knows how to write a suspenseful book full of wonderful, well-developed, deep, interesting, intense, sexy characters that make you want to get to know them, have a glass of wine with them and essentially make them friends. This is an unbelievable series that keeps me coming back for more. I can NOT wait to read the next installment. How will it all end? Will Neve find her happily ever after ending? Will she find family, pack, people that she can for and about and people who will care about and for her?

The heat definitely rises in this 3rd installment!

The 3rd installment starts where the second leaves off. They awake to the cabin up in flames. Knowing that this was Asher's doing they know they must leave Hidden Forest behind and head to Wild Lake where the pack truly considers home. Neve meets the people who Tucker and the rest of the pack consider family and she also finds out more about Tucker and his past. I loved how we got more of Tucker here he opened up to Neve and told her about his past. How everything came to be. How he became Alpha and how his pack was formed. Alot happens in this installment. Tucker and Neve's trust and connection for each other grows stronger.(And yes still scorching hot!) Tucker faces the ultimate betrayal that I didn't see coming at all. And of course the threat of Asher and his pack was always in the air. This was definitely one heck of ride. Lots of action and when it was nearing the end I was feeling pretty stressed. And that ending! One of those endings where I'm shouting "Nooo!" at my kindle. I truly don't know how Neve is going to get herself out of this one or what the pack is going to do about it. I can not wait to to see how things will unravel in the next part. Keep reading trust me alot happens here that you don't want to miss.

A must read edgy series

I want to start by saying I have read books 1-4 of claimed by the pack by author Kimber White and am I so so glad I did. And let me say that I was nervous when I started the first book of this series. I am an avid urban fantasy reader and primarily there is little if any erotic material in them. I was so glad when I picked this series out to read. The story in each of these was tremendous. And that's what I loved about the series. I was so scared that so much would be sacrificed and be replaced by the erotic. But it wasn't. It is a gripping, edge of your seat, shape shifter series with a thread of edgy erotic weaved throughout. Just when I thought I knew where it was going it would twist and turn and go somewhere else. I also enjoyed all of the characters that were presented throughout these books. And if having lots of characters that you get to know throughout the series is a must for you, there are tons. And hats off to the author for presenting a book that could be enjoyed whether you're male or female. One piece of advice though to all the other readers, make sure you got the day free because once you finish the first book you will not stop till you've read the all.
